Vintage Central University of purchases Kentucky Tobacco Card (circa 1910)

The perfect gift for a Central University of Kentucky alum or soon-to-be student. A rare find from the Murad Tobacco company circa early 1900s. Originally included to stiffen the cigarette packages, Murad saw an opportunity to purchases build brand loyalty among its customers by featuring college sports, which were becoming increasingly popular. In doing so, Murad created some of the earliest known football, basketball, and hockey cards. This particular card features a track and field athlete with a Central University of Kentucky seal.
